My
biggest support is my husband and my son. While it is small, my family helps me
to be a better person every day of my life. We have faced many obstacles, and I
know I can always count on them. It is hard to imagine life without my family.
I find it hard to even remember what life was like before I had my son.
Another
huge support in my life is my faith. In the past few years, I realized that I
need God to play a larger role in my life, and I challenged myself to build a
strong relationship with him. God has provided for me and blessed me in many
ways.
My
husband and I faced a huge challenge together, infertility. It took us 14 years
and many treatments to have our son. My husband was my support system for all
of the treatments and disappointments as well as the good times. I knew I could
always count on him for words of encouragement or a shoulder to cry on. My
faith was also a huge support during this time. It was not until I truly gave
my struggles to God that my treatment worked. It felt good to let go and put my
trust in him completely. I cannot imagine living a life without a relationship with
God.
In
my daily environment, I have supports too. One support is my dogs. You would be
surprised how they can sense when you need them. Life without my dogs would be
quiet and sad. Prayer is another support that I have in my daily environment.
Prayer helps me relax and find a place of peace and serenity. If I do not take
time to pray, I feel like I am missing something in my life.
Tanya, I hate to hear of the struggle you and your husband went through for many years but truly happy for y’all, as well. It was such a blessing that you were able to have your son. My family and I do not have any pets but we are definitely thinking about getting something –even if it is just fish. God has truly blessed you both –indeed.
ReplyDeleteHi Tanya,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have many supports in your life, your husband, God, and your dog. Both your husband and God brought you your son, which is your new support. It is nice to hear how you have overcome the many challenges in your life do to the help and support from your loved ones.
