Using the Partners for Global
Alliance for the Education of Young Children, I reached out to two
professionals outside of the United States. The two countries I am interested
in learning more about are Haiti and Germany. I am excited to learn more about
both countries and the issues and trends that affect early childhood. One
website I am interested in exploring further is Germany’s equivalent to the
NAEYC, AGJ, Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Kinder-und Jugendhilfe or the Child and Youth
Welfare Association. I will be very interested in exploring this website
further and see how the United States early childhood initiatives compare to
Germany’s early childhood initiatives.
Hi Tanya, I hope that you are successful in connecting with the two early childhood professionals in Haiti and Germany. This will enable you to gain a new perspective as you will have the opportunity to see the many similarities and differences between three countries. I actually thought of trying to make connections with Germany as my husband is German, but for some reason I didn't and I chose two different countries, so it will be great to learn from you! :)
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to not only connect with an early childhood professional in Germany, but also find out information from Germany's AGJ website. I am curious to read about the comparisons that you will encounter between Germany and the United States.
