This has always been one of my favorite books to share with my toddler classroom. When reading this book I can always engage the children in the story. I find that the toddler's love to hear the next steps. Many times we act out the actions such as the "splish splash" and act like we are going through water or we "swish swish" through the tall grass. Instead of always just reading the book we actually sing to it as well. The book is definitely a favorite in my toddler classroom.
